Job summary

Columbus Café Mitre 10 MEGA Mt Wellington is seeking an experienced Chef to join the kitchen team on a permanent full-time basis. The role involves preparing high-quality menu items, assisting with daily operations, and maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen in a busy service environment.

You will work 37.5 paid hours per week with opportunities to develop culinary skills and contribute to a positive customer experience. Strong teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial kitchen experience in a chef or cook role.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Reliability, initiative and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking menu items to a high standard.
• Assisting with food preparation and daily kitchen operations.

• Assisting with stock control, stock rotation and kitchen organisation.
