Job summary

Columbus Coffee is seeking a passionate Chef/Kitchen Assistant for a fixed-term role at Columbus Papanui in Auckland. You will prepare cabinet food, assist with kitchen operations, and support front-of-house service in a busy café.

The role is approx. 29 hours per week, working Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with a fixed-term through to end of November 2026. Applicants must be NZ citizens, PR, or hold a valid NZ work visa.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for baking, cooking and food preparation.
• Confident following recipes and taking direction.
• Experience preparing and cooking food to high standards.
• Well organised with excellent time management.
• Able to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and professional workspace.
• Capable of cooking in line with Columbus Coffee Franchise Standards.
