Job summary

Hynds is seeking a hands-on team member to be the face of the branch, handling front-counter inquiries, quotes and orders while supporting yard operations and stock control. You’ll assist customers with loading and unloading trucks and keep administration tidy and accurate.

We require front-counter experience, a full NZ driver's licence, and a willingness to learn product knowledge. Forklift licence is preferred but not mandatory, with health insurance and employee discounts on offer.

Qualifications

• Front-counter customer service experience.
• Experience in yard operations and stock handling.
• Valid NZ Driver's Licence; Forklift Licence preferred but not essential.
• Ability to chat with customers and help with quotes or orders.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to person at the front counter for quotes, orders and queries.
• Sort stock and run the yard, including picking orders and cycle counts.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks by hand or forklift.
• Invoicing, receipting, credits and daily paperwork accuracy.
• Develop product knowledge to improve customer problem solving.
