Job summary

Hynds Pipe Systems Limited in Christchurch is seeking a hands-on Branch Assistant to service customers across civil, water, wastewater and drainage sectors.

You will move between front counter, back office and yard, pricing quotes, processing invoices and loading trucks to keep the branch running smoothly.

Pre-employment checks apply; a Class 1 driver’s licence is required and forklift endorsement is a plus, with training available.

Qualifications

• Experience at front counter and yard required.
• Full Class 1 driver’s licence; forklift endorsement preferred.
• Ability to read customers and solve on the spot.
• Strong numeracy and stock accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Front-counter service, sales, quotes and processing orders
• Branch admin – invoicing, receipting stock, credits, daily banking and credit control
• Yard and stock control – stocktakes, cycle counts, coding product, dockets and deliveries
• Loading and unloading trucks safely, receiving inwards goods, keeping yard tidy
• Becoming a genuine product expert to offer real solutions to customers
