Job summary

Team Global Express NZ in Mount Maunganui is looking for a Freight Operator to join our busy branch. In this hands-on role you'll load and unload freight, scan and sort items, and keep operations moving safely and on time in a dynamic, team-first environment.

The role requires a clean NZ Class 1 license, forklift and OSH cert, dangerous goods endorsement, plus strong communication and teamwork. Pre-employment checks apply; you must be eligible to work in NZ.

Qualifications

• Clean Full NZ Class 1 License.
• Forklift License with OSH cert.
• Dangerous Goods Endorsement.
• Customer-focused attitude.

• Experience driving on New Zealand roads.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely, for both road and rail units.

Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Afternoon Shift: Monday - Friday 4.00pm - 12.30am

About the role - Mō te tūranga

In this hands‑on role, you’ll be loading and unloading freight, scanning, sorting and keeping everything moving safely and on time. No two days are the same – its’ a fast‑paced, physical role where teamwork is key.

Key duties:

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely, for both road and rail units.
• Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently.
• Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner.
