Job summary

Team Global Express NZ is seeking a Class 5 Driver / Freight Operator to join our Nelson branch. This is a hands-on role combining driving with freight handling in a fast-paced environment, where teamwork matters and no two days are the same.

You will load/unload freight, ensure safe operation, scan freight with On-time, and maintain good relationships within the team. The role requires NZ Class 5 license, forklift OSH cert, and a customer-focused attitude; pre-employment checks apply.

Qualifications

• Clean Full NZ Class 5 Licence – must have.
• Forklift Licence with OSH cert – must have.
• Dangerous Goods Endorsement – ideal.
• Customer-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience driving on New Zealand roads.

Responsibilities

• Achieve branch objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently.

Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Shift: Monday – Friday 9.30am – 7.00pm

About the role - Mō te tūranga

This is more than just a driving job. You'll combine Class 5 driving with hands‑on freight handling in a fast‑paced, physical role where teamwork is critical and no two days are the same.
