Job summary

Team Global Express NZ in Christchurch is hiring a Freight Operator for the afternoon shift. You will load and unload freight, scan and sort to keep operations moving safely and on time.

This physical, hands-on role requires a Clean Full NZ Class 1 License, Forklift License with OSH cert, and the ability to work well in a team.

Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

About the role - Mō te tūranga

In this hands‑on role, you'll be loading and unloading freight, scanning, sorting and keeping everything moving safely and on time. No two days are the same - its' a fast‑paced, physical role where teamwork is key.

Afternoon Shift

Monday - Friday, Earliest start 10am, latest start 3pm.

Key duties:

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely, for both road and rail units.
• Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently.
• Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner.
• Maintain good working relationships.
• Communicate effectively within a team environment.

• Clean Full NZ Class 1 License - must have
• Forklift License with OSH cert - must have
• Dangerous Good Endorsement - ideal

• Experience driving on New Zealand roads
