Job summary

Team Global Express NZ is seeking a Freight Operator for the Christchurch branch, handling loading/unloading, scanning, and sorting to keep freight moving safely and on time. The role is hands-on, fast-paced and relies on teamwork.

You will need a Full NZ Class 1 License, a Forklift License with OSH, and ideally a Dangerous Goods Endorsement, with customer focus and strong communication skills essential.

Qualifications

• Clean Full NZ Class 1 License – must have.
• Forklift License with OSH cert – must have.
• Dangerous Good Endorsement – ideal.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely, for both road and rail units.
• Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently.
• Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner.
• Maintain good working relationships.
• Communicate effectively within a team environment

Looking for a role where you get variety in your day and be part of a high performing team? We’re on the hunt for a Freight Operator to join our Christchurch branch!

Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Afternoon Shift: Monday – Friday, Earliest start 10am, latest start 3pm.

About The Role - Mō Te Tūranga

In this hands-on role, you’ll be loading and unloading freight, scanning, sorting and keeping everything moving safely and on time. No two days are the same – its’ a fast‑paced, physical role where teamwork is key.

Key Duties

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely, for both road and rail units.
• Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently.
• Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner.
• Maintain good working relationships.
