Placements24's client, a leading FMCG company, is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead sales operations in Queenstown, Eastern Cape.

This role manages a team of sales reps, drives performance, expands market penetration, and ensures execution of sales strategies.

The ideal candidate will have strong FMCG market knowledge, proven leadership, and the ability to coach and develop the team while building key account relationships and managing budgets.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• 5–7 years sales experience with 2–3 in sales management in FMCG.
• Proven ability to lead teams and meet targets.
• Strong understanding of Eastern Cape distribution channels.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, manage, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales targets.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies for the assigned geographical area, focusing on market penetration and growth.
• Monitor sales performance, analyze market trends, and provide regular reports and forecasts to senior management.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Queenstown territory and surrounding areas.
• Ensure excellent execution of marketing plans and promotional activities at the retail level.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
• Provide coaching, training, and development to the sales team to enhance their skills and performance.
• Manage sales budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
• Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly and effectively.
• Stay informed about competitor activities and market dynamics within the FMCG industry.
