Job summary

Auckland Council is seeking a casual Team Member in Customer Support for Moana Nui-a-Kiwa Pool and Leisure Centre. This role offers flexible shifts, allowing you to pick up work as available and develop skills across our Pools and Leisure network.

You will welcome customers, handle enquiries, process bookings and payments, and support safe, enjoyable visits. A First Aid certificate is required; additional area qualifications may be needed.

Qualifications

• Face-to-face customer service experience required.
• Cash handling and transaction processing experience.
• Strong communication and ability to respond to enquiries.
• Confidence using technology and digital apps.
• Ability to follow health, safety and operational procedures.
• Willingness to contribute to a positive team environment.
• Understanding of te ao Māori, tikanga and diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Respond to customer enquiries and provide information about services.
• Process bookings, payments and transactions accurately.
• Promote services, programmes and facilities.
• Support safe and smooth operation of the leisure centre.
• Respond to customer needs, incidents and emergencies.
