Job summary

Downer in New Zealand is seeking a Fleet Telematics Specialist to manage the telematics platform and ensure reliable asset connectivity, data integrity and service effectiveness.

You will partner with offshore support, fleet stakeholders and providers to maximise value, coordinate installations and maintain accurate records. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, reporting and governance to support operational performance.

Qualifications

• Experience with telematics, fleet technology or similar platforms.
• Strong ability to manage stakeholder inquiries in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in telematics data, reporting, system administration and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational performance of the telematics platform and asset connectivity.
• Serve as subject matter expert for telematics systems and provide guidance to stakeholders.
• Coordinate asset lifecycle activities: installs, transfers, decommissioning and pre-disposal requirements.
• Monitor support requests, issues and escalations with timely resolution and clear communication.
• Maintain platform records, device allocations and configurations for data quality.
• Identify telematics risks and assist with risk mitigation and compliance.
