Job summary

Placements24 in Queenstown is seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations and ensure the safety, reliability and regulatory compliance of a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment. You will oversee a team of mechanics, manage preventive maintenance schedules, and control parts inventory.

The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of heavy‑duty diesel engines and electrical systems, and proficiency with fleet software and diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fleet management and team supervision.
• Strong knowledge of heavy‑duty diesel engines and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with fleet management software and diagnostics tools.
• Proven leadership, planning, and cost-control abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of fleet maintenance technicians and mechanics.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for the entire fleet.
• Oversee vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repair processes to ensure quality and safety.
• Manage parts inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock control.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, costs, and vehicle histories.
