Job summary

WM New Zealand is seeking a Despatch Coordinator to coordinate fleet scheduling, driver management, and the safe handling of hazardous and medical waste. You will dispatch jobs, balance workloads, monitor routes and ensure on-time completion while maintaining excellent customer service.

Based in Auckland, you will set up customer accounts, update service details, and respond to inquiries with professionalism and accuracy, supporting a high-standard safety and environmental program.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in dispatch coordination or fleet scheduling.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste handling regulations.
• Proficiency with MS Office and dispatch software.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Dispatching jobs to drivers to ensure prompt service.
• Balancing driver workloads and monitoring routes.
• Ensuring drivers have paperwork and equipment for safe waste collection.
• Monitoring and managing rescheduled jobs to minimize disruption.
• Setting up customer accounts and service agreements.
• Responding to customer queries via phone or email.
