Job summary

Tradestaff is seeking an experienced Fitter/Installer to join our busy engineering team in Cambridge. This hands-on role offers a mix of workshop and site work with an immediate start for the right candidate.

You will read engineering drawings, assemble and install components, and conduct maintenance to high standards. The position requires previous fitting experience, the ability to work from drawings, and a full Class 1 licence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with workshop repairs, servicing, and maintenance activities.
  • Assemble, align, install, and repair metal components.

  • Work both in the workshop and on-site as required.

Job description

Fitter/Installer

We're looking for an experienced Fitter/Installer to join a busy engineering team in Cambridge. This is a hands‑on role offering a variety of workshop and site‑based work, with an immediate start available for the right candidate. If you have strong mechanical aptitude, experience working from engineering drawings, and enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment, we want to hear from you.

Location: Cambridge

Start date: Immediate start

Pay rate: $30–$36 per hour + weekly pay

About the role as a Fitter, you'll play a key role in supporting workshop operations and site‑based projects. You'll be involved in the repair, servicing, assembly, alignment, installation, and maintenance of engineering and mechanical components while ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
