Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a Fitter/Turner OR a relevant trade qualification (preferred but not essential).
• Your own tools and reliable transport are required.
• At least 2 solid work references.
• A strong commitment to Health & Safety.
• The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Assembling and fitting fabricated metal parts and machinery.
• Measuring and checking components for accuracy and fit.
• Setting up machining tools, guides, and controls.
• Operating equipment to cut, shape, and form metal to fine tolerances.
• Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out maintenance and repairs.
• Installing and commissioning machinery on-site where required.

About the Role

Tradestaff has multiple opportunities for experienced Fitters/Turners across Waikato region. While Waikato will be your predominate region of work you may be required to work in the Aukland, Hawkes Bay, Wellington and Bay of Plenty Regions - this will be discussed with the successful applicant
