Job summary

Financial Markets Authority is seeking an Adviser for the Financial Advice team in Auckland. You will contribute to supervision and monitoring for a broad range of Financial Advice Providers, from sole advisers to large banks and insurers, helping identify risks and support good conduct across the sector.

You’ll engage regulated entities, conduct monitoring reviews and contribute to industry engagements while promoting trust in New Zealand’s financial markets.

Qualifications

• Curious, adaptable and a strong critical thinker.
• Experience within financial services or regulation.
• Understanding of how banks, insurers or financial services operate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct monitoring and supervision of financial advice providers.
• Identify risks and respond to potential misconduct.
• Engage with regulated entities and participate in industry engagements.
• Review compliance with financial markets legislation with internal teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of monitoring and regulatory practices.
