Job summary

Stealth Startup in Auckland seeks a qualified Financial Adviser to join the Investment Advisory team. You will provide investment management and advisory services to clients, including non-discretionary agency clients and co-trustees, while introducing them to additional products and services.

You will build long-term client relationships, demonstrate best practice in financial advice, and collaborate with the wider team to improve processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in financial advisory services.
• Certified Financial Adviser.
• NZ Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.
• Ability to build client relationships and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Attract new high-value clients and establish referral networks.
• Review each client's financial situation and create a financial plan.
• Offer guidance and support for fiduciary services.
• Grow the client base and develop relationships.
• Manage and report on risk and compliance.
• Stay updated with industry trends and market research.
• Ensure compliance with FA regulatory requirements.

We're seeking a qualified Financial Adviser to become part of our Auckland team!

In this role, your main focus will be providing investment management and advisory services to clients, including non-discretionary agency clients, co-trustees and engaged beneficial interests.

You'll be expected to introduce clients to additional products and services while working collaboratively with the wider team. Building and maintaining long-term client relationships is essential, as is consistently demonstrating best practice in financial advice.

About You

You're a driven, detail-focused professional with a financial services background and a genuine commitment to providing excellent investment service support. Ideally, you'll have worked as a Financial Adviser before or hold the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5).

You’ll also have a strong understanding of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013, along with other relevant legislation and developments in the financial advice space.

You're a self-motivated individual who is comfortable building relationships and takes a proactive approach to solving problems and improving processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Attract new high-value clients and establish referral networks


• Review each client's complete financial situation, identify their needs and create a robust financial plan


• Offer guidance, advice and support to the business's fiduciary services


• Grow the client base and develop mutually beneficial relationships


• Manage and report on risk and compliance


• Stay up to date with industry trends and conduct market research to support financial recommendations


• Maintain a working knowledge of, and ensure compliance with, FA regulatory requirements

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• At least 5 years' experience in financial advisory services


• Certified Financial Adviser


• Proven history of delivering successful financial advice


• Solid understanding of all relevant industry rules and regulations


• Experience managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships at all levels


• Knowledge of investment platforms, wrap providers and business systems such as Microsoft Dynamics


• A Certified Financial Planner ("CFP") or Chartered Financial Analyst ("CFA") qualification is an advantage but not required
