Job summary

New Zealand Couriers Limited is seeking a driven Business Development Consultant to join the Central North Island sales team. This field role focuses on meeting prospective customers, building relationships, and tailoring courier solutions that add value.

You’ll manage a sales pipeline, present tailored proposals, negotiate commercial agreements, and ensure a seamless customer journey from first contact to onboarding, working closely with Customer Services and Operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, field sales, or account management.
• Proven ability to win new customers and achieve sales targets.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong commercial judgement and confidence negotiating with decision-makers.
• Current full New Zealand Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Developing new business opportunities across the Central North Island region.
• Prospecting, networking, and meeting with potential customers face-to-face.
• Building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets.
• Preparing and presenting tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
• Negotiating commercial agreements while maintaining profitable growth.
• Managing the customer journey from initial contact through to onboarding.
• Working closely with Customer Services and Operations to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Maintaining accurate CRM records, forecasts, and activity reporting.
• Representing New Zealand Couriers professionally within your local business community.
