Job summary

Manukau Institute of Technology in Auckland is seeking a Building Services and Maintenance Coordinator to join the Facilities Management team. This full-time role focuses on building services operations, minor capital works, maintenance planning, contractor oversight, and financial management.

The successful candidate will bring at least three years in building services maintenance, trades or relevant tertiary education, experience with BMS/HVAC, and strong MS Office and health and safety

Qualifications

• A minimum of three (3) years' experience in building services equipment maintenance, or equivalent within facilities, construction or engineering industry.
• Trades or tertiary education in Electrical, Mechanical or Buildings Services.
• Experience with BMS, HVAC and/or Building Services equipment is highly desirable.
• Some Project management skills will be a bonus.
• Ability to read and interpret working drawings and plans.
• Experience working closely with, and managing contractors within facilities environment.
• Some experience working within regulatory guidelines including the NZ Building Code and Building Warrant of Fitness.
• Reasonable level of competency with MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook & Project.
• Some knowledge of Health & Safety
• Hold and maintain a valid and current vehicle driver's license.

• This role covers minor capital works, building services maintenance planning, contractor management, financial management, customer service, quality, and health and safety.
• The ideal applicant will be self-motivated, self-directed and focused on achieving results within tight timeframes while maintaining strong interpersonal and communication skills.
