MBIE is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support the General Manager Strategy, Planning and Performance within the Regional Development and Commercial Services group in Wellington CBD. The role involves senior-level coordination, confidential support, and ensuring smooth operations across strategic functions.

You will manage calendars, communications, and meetings, while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑quality executive support to the General Manager Strategy, Planning and Performance.
  • Manage calendars, scheduling, meetings, and correspondence to ensure timely delivery of priorities.
  • Coordinate workflows and key business activities across the regional group.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparing materials and reports for senior leadership and governance bodies.

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant to support Isabel Poulson, General Manager Strategy, Planning and Performance, within the Regional Development and Commercial Services group.


This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and high-performing team, providing executive support to a senior leader and playing a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Strategy, Planning and Performance function. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities, and building strong relationships across an organisation, we'd love to hear from you.

As Executive Assistant, you'll provide high-quality administrative and coordination support, helping to manage priorities, scheduling, meetings, correspondence, and key business activities. You'll work closely with the General Manager, anticipating needs, managing workflows, and ensuring business objectives are supported through efficient and effective administration.


This role offers the opportunity to gain broad exposure across Regional Development and Commercial Services while working alongside senior leaders and key stakeholders across MBIE.
