Job summary

Hunter Campbell in Auckland is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support the Managing Director with diary management, inbox triage, reporting and communications. This broad role offers exposure to senior leadership decisions from day one and real scope to grow.

You’ll coordinate meetings, prepare packs, draft briefs, track actions, and maintain records in a fast-paced SME. The role requires exceptional written communication, discretion and the ability to manage competing priorities

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an EA, PA or senior administrative support role.
  • Experience supporting a senior executive, ideally a CEO, MD or GM.
  • Confident managing competing priorities and a fast-changing workload.
  • Strong written communicator, comfortable producing polished output at pace.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the MD’s calendar, inbox and weekly schedule, prioritising what matters most
  • Prepare meeting packs, agendas and pre-reads ahead of key meetings
  • Track actions and follow-ups across the leadership team, keeping things on schedule
  • Compile leadership updates into clear reports and presentation materials
  • Support coordination of key projects, tracking deadlines and flagging risks
  • Draft correspondence, briefing notes and reports from verbal or written input
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support smooth day-to-day operations

About the Company

Our client is a well-established New Zealand industrial distribution business in an active growth phase. Led by a hands-on, commercially focused Managing Director, this is a leadership team that moves with pace and intent, backed by a credible growth strategy.

Role Summary

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll provide high-level executive support across diary management, inbox triage, reporting and communications. This is a broad and varied EA role with genuine scope to grow, offering exposure to senior leadership decision-making from day one.
