Pizza Hut Invercargill is seeking three full-time Duty Managers to support the store operations in Invercargill, New Zealand. Staff recruitment, training, and supervision will be part of the role, along with labour scheduling and stock control.

Shifts may include weekends, with a minimum of 30–35 hours per week. A background in hospitality or business and a valid driver’s license are required to manage day-to-day operations effectively.

Qualifications

Duty Manager - Pizza Hut-Invercargill

We are looking for three duty managers at Pizza Hut-Invercargill to work full-time.

Duty managers are expected to work a minimum of 30-35 hours a week on a weekly payroll. Hours are rostered weekly and may include weekend shifts.

Role and Responsibilities - Duty Manager

• Assist the store manager/assistant manager with recruitment, training and store management.
• Assist and monitor new staff induction programmes and help them to complete courses within the stipulated time.
• Control day-to-day operations by scheduling labour, ordering food and supplies and developing team members.
• Assist the manager in serving high-quality products to customers and ensure good quality of food and 100% customer satisfaction.
• Maintain records of stock levels and financial transactions.
• Manage Shift Supervisors and Team Members.
• Ensure national and local health and safety codes and company safety and security policies are met.
• Negotiate competitive deals with customers for large orders with approval from the manager and be involved in the marketing of catering for large functions.
• Arrange the purchasing and pricing of goods according to the budget. Learn about and analyse P&L results. Learning to operate within established guidelines for expenditure and approval authority.
• Ensure complete and timely execution of corporate and local marketing programmes.
• Attend and assist in conducting regular staff meetings.
• Be responsible for shifts under the direct supervision and manage the functioning of the store by assisting the store manager.

Duty Manager Requirements:

• Relevant qualification (2 or 3 or higher) in hospitality or business, or a minimum of six months of work experience in any management role, full-time, working in the fast food industry.
• Relevant numerical skills.
• Good oral/written communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• A valid driver's licence is required – you need to drive a car without a supervisor.
