Job summary

Nelson Hospital in Nelson is seeking an Emergency Medicine Registrar to join the team on a full-time basis. You will assist in delivering Emergency Medicine to patients, work within a multidisciplinary team, and be responsible for assessment, treatment and disposition of patients across shifts.

Exposure to non-ED runs such as Cardiology, Orthopaedics and General Medicine is possible; roster shifts include day, evening, night, and weekend patterns.

Qualifications

• Trainee registered with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM).
• Hold valid registration or be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
• Commitment to providing ethical treatment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering Emergency Medicine to patients as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Assess, treat and disposition patients.
• Be prepared for non-ED runs such as Cardiology, Orthopaedics and General Medicine; participate in varied shift patterns.
