ED nursing uses all your skills and provides daily learning opportunities, with around 33,000 patient presentations per annum across the lifespan. Exciting changes have taken place in our Emergency Department recently with a major refurbishment to meet the growing needs of our community. The redevelopment has increased bed capacity to 29 and introduced modern features designed to enhance patient care and staff wellbeing. Isolation bays with negative pressure and anterooms opened on 4 November 2025, marking the first milestone in this transformation. Additional improvements include dedicated mental health rooms, a welcoming whānau room, and expanded staff areas.
You will be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current NZNC practising certificate and post-registration nursing experience in ED or acute care. You will also be a team player, who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical practice, with excellent organisational and timemanagement skills and a commitment to quality.
