Job summary

GEA Group in Auckland seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our high-performing engineering team. You will deliver electrical and controls solutions for complex process plants, from design through installation support and commissioning.

You will work with project managers, customers, electrical contractors, panel builders, and internal disciplines to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery, complying with AS/NZS 3000 and IEC standards, while upholding GEA quality.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 5 years in industrial electrical engineering and/or project delivery.
• Experience producing and reviewing electrical documentation (drawings, cable schedules, datasheets).
• Working knowledge of LV distribution, motors, VSDs, MCCs; familiarity with EPLAN drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs and documentation for process plant projects.
• Design and specify MCCs, field panels, motors, VSDs, and power distribution.
• Translate customer requirements into technical specs for suppliers and contractors.
• Support tendering and project execution; define electrical scope and costs.
