Waste Management in Auckland, NZ is seeking a Senior Project Engineer - Electrical and Control Automation. You will provide senior technical leadership across electrical, controls and automation, lead capital projects from concept through commissioning and handover, and shape engineering standards and design expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in industrial/manufacturing/energy/infrastructure environments.
• Experience with electrical power systems, switchgear and industrial electrical infrastructure.
• Ability to lead electrical projects, upgrade plants and review designs.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for electrical, controls and automation systems.
• Lead electrical aspects of capital projects from concept to commissioning and handover.
• Develop and maintain technical specs, scopes of work and engineering standards for electrical assets.
• Review electrical designs, distribution, MCCs, protection systems, PLC/SCADA/HMI, and contractor deliverables.
• Lead reliability improvement initiatives for electrical/control assets and perform root cause analysis.
