Job summary
AECOM New Zealand Limited is seeking a Senior Electrical & Controls Engineer to lead electrical and automation design for energy and industrial projects. The role focuses on concept through to commissioning, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams in a hybrid Auckland setting.
You will work on electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, including PLCs and SCADA, with an emphasis on safe and sustainable engineering practices across NZ and Australia
Qualifications
- Experience in design and delivery of electrical, instrumentation and controls projects across stages including commissioning and site operations.
- Background in design and production of electrical diagrams, control and communication system diagrams, and panel layouts.
- Strong understanding of NZ regulations and market with 5+ years of experience ideally.
Responsibilities
- Design and supervise electrical and automation systems drawings and specifications.
- Lead and deliver work packages through all project stages from concept to commissioning.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery and client satisfaction.
