Qualifications

• Previous booking, scheduling, or appointment coordination experience.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of people.
• Strong computer and data entry skills, including experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• A customer focused approach with excellent telephone manner and problem solving skills.
• The ability to adapt quickly, manage competing priorities, and work effectively as part of a team.
• An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to equitable health outcomes and culturally responsive service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outpatient appointments and elective procedure bookings.
• Manage waiting lists and maintain accurate patient information.
• Support delivery of key service targets.
• Help maximise clinic and theatre utilisation and support referral and booking processes.
• Coordinate outsourced elective procedures and maintain high data quality, customer service, patient safety and confidentiality.
• Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely access to care.
