Job summary

Westport Deep Sea Fishing School is seeking to fill a contract role to support the Operations & Maintenance team on a 12-18 month basis. You will coordinate contracts, programs and administration while maintaining records and milestones and working with contractors and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has a current NZ driver licence, contract administration or scheduling experience, and strong MS Office/Excel skills. NZ residency is required for applicants.

We can offer some of these training programs on a regular and ongoing basis throughout the year.

Westport Deep Sea Fishing School is seeking applications for our pre-employment programs.

Re-train with industry created programs that will kick start your career in sea goingpositions on NZ owned deep sea factory ships.

Successful students are facilitated into paid employment in the seafood industry; thishowever is dependent on usual employment practices, Company and vesselavailability.

Starting wages ranging from 60 – 70k per year depending on trip lengths.

We are looking for someone to step into a 12-18 month contract on a temporary basis to support an Operations & Maintenance team.

About the role

In this role you will support the Team Leader Operations & Maintenance with contract, programme and administrative coordination to maintain accurate records, monitor milestones and support procurement.Work with contractors, consultants, councils, landowners and internal teams to keep programmes on track. You will identify risks, resolve issues and improve processes to support effective service delivery.
