Job summary

Steel & Tube Holdings Ltd is seeking a Logistics Coordinator for the AM shift at our East Tamaki distribution centre. The role runs from 4:00 AM to ~12:30 PM, opening the site, coordinating drivers, and handling customer interactions.

Responsibilities include opening the site, supporting drivers, coordinating outbound transport, paperwork, POD chasing, and front-counter customer service. A strong emphasis on planning, safety, and communication is essential in our fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Full Class 5 licence with clean driving history.
• Endorsed counterbalance forklift licence is an advantage.
• Gantry crane experience is highly desirable.
• Strong dispatch/logistics coordination or similar experience.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Physically fit with a proactive, safety‑first mindset.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft AX) and MS Office is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Open the site each morning, ensuring security and safety standards are met.
• You’ll support early drivers with tie‑downs and departures.
• Coordinate outwards transport runs.
• Prepare paperwork, monitor deliveries via E‑road and chase PODs.
• Handle customer collections at the front counter until mid‑morning.
• Maintain accurate records and escalate delivery issues.
