Job summary

Randstad Group in Auckland is seeking a Logistics Driver on a 4-month fixed-term contract starting ASAP. You will move parts and supplies for high-precision manufacturing, while also supporting warehouse duties and forklift activities.

The role requires a valid Class 2 licence with manual shift driving, NZTA forklift endorsement, and physical fitness. Flexibility for after-hours, weekends, and occasional overnight stays is needed. Accommodation is provided where required.

Qualifications

• Current Class 2 Driver’s Licence with confident manual shift driving.
• Valid NZTA Forklift Endorsement (F) or WorkSafe Site Certification.
• Good physical fitness and agility for manual handling and warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver stores, supplies, and precision components across the greater Auckland area and upper North Island.
• Safely operate forklifts to assist with loading and unloading vehicles.
• Conduct daily vehicle pre-start inspections to ensure fleet roadworthiness.
• Complete accurate vehicle logs and documentation for transport and inventory tracking.
• Assist the logistics team with receipting, dispatch, and general warehouse tasks.
• Maintain a professional demeanor during interactions with suppliers and internal teams.
• Follow health and safety policies and report near-misses or incidents promptly.

As a Logistics Driver within our Auckland operations, you will play a vital role in keeping our fast-paced production lines supplied with mission-critical materials from local and upper North Island suppliers. This is far more than a typical driving job, it’s an opportunity to be hands-on with an industry-leading engineering team. What You'll Be Doing

• Pick up and deliver stores, supplies, and precision components across the greater Auckland area and upper North Island in a timely manner.
• Safely operate forklifts to assist with loading and unloading company and supplier vehicles.
• Conduct daily vehicle pre-start inspections to ensure all fleet vehicles are roadworthy, serviceable, and fit for purpose.
• Complete accurate vehicle logs and supporting documentation for transport and inventory tracking.
• Assist the wider logistics team with receipting, store dispatch, and general warehouse support tasks.
• Maintain a professional, high-standard demeanor during all interactions with external suppliers and internal teams.
• Uphold strict health and safety policies, wearing required PPE and reporting near-misses or incidents promptly.

What You'll Bring

• Current Class 2 Driver's License with confident manual shift driving ability.
• Valid NZTA Forklift Endorsement (F) or WorkSafe Site Certification.
• Strong physical fitness and agility to comfortably perform manual handling, vehicle loading, and physical warehouse tasks.
• High level of self-motivation, decisiveness, and initiative to work productively without direct supervision.
• Clear written and oral communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
• Tech proficiency and comfort using digital systems and technology for logistics tracking.
• Flexibility to handle required after-hours demands, weekend work, and occasional overnight stays (1–2 nights) away from home.

Preferred Experience

• Valid NZTA Dangerous Goods (DG) endorsement.
• Hands-on background in warehousing, dispatch, and inventory management systems.
• Proven track record of working effectively under pressure to meet tight operational deadlines.
