Job summary

Transam in Auckland is seeking a driven container hoist operator for an afternoon shift. You will drive single or double stacker container hoists, loading and unloading 20' and 40' containers and stacking up to seven high, in a safety-conscious team.

This full-time role requires a NZ Class 1 license, reliability, and the ability to pass checks. On-site work at Panmure with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with overtime and competitive pay plus benefits.

Qualifications

• You hold a Full NZ Class 1 Licence with health and safety awareness.
• Class 2/4 considered a plus; training provided for the right candidate.
• Must pass Ministry of Justice, ACC checks and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Drive container hoists (20' and 40' containers) at Panmure location.
• Load and unload containers, and stack up to 7 high on site.
• Follow procedures and safety standards; participate in overtime as needed.
• Work as part of a team with strong attendance.

Our Transam Depot provides full empty container services. In this role, you will be driving single or double stacker Container Hoists, safely loading and unloading 20’ and 40’ containers on and off trucks and stacking containersup to 7 high.

Job Description

About you:

We are looking for people with Full NZ Class 1 License (Class 2 and/or Class 4 would be desirable), with a demonstrated understanding of health and safety practices. You are someone who is able to work as part of a team with an ability to follow procedures – you have high attention to detail.

Although previous Container Hoist experience would be a strong advantage, we are also open to training the right person for the role. As a crucial member of our team, you are a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a commitment to attendance.

Qualifications

You will have the ability to pass Ministry of Justice, ACC checks and a drug and alcohol test as part of our recruitment process. Hours of Work:

This role is based in our Panmure location. A minimum of 40 hours a week Monday to Friday between the hours of 3.30pm to 12:00 midnight, with flexibility to work overtime to meet operational requirements required. Great overtime rates (time and a half) offered!

This is a full-time permanent role based in Auckland. You will have the right to live and work in New Zealand at the time of applying. The successful candidate may be subject to undergo a Police Check and/or Pre-Employment Drug Test.
