Job summary

Team Global Express in Hamilton, NZ is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate daily transport activities, work with drivers and customers, and ensure freight is delivered safely and efficiently. You will oversee fleet compliance, resolve issues, and contribute to KPI improvements while maintaining health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in the transport/logistics industry.
• Knowledge of operational costing.
• Proven ability in leading Health and Safety
• Forklift license including OSH – preferred but not required
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods practice and procedure.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice and Transport law
• Geographical Knowledge of the Central North Island.

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a dispatcher to join our Hamilton branch.

Hours

Monday – Friday 9.30am – 6.00pm

About the role - Mō te tūranga

As a Dispatcher, you'll work closely with drivers, customers and operational teams to coordinate daily transport activities, respond to changing priorities and ensure freight is delivered safely and efficiently. This is a fast-paced role where strong communication, attention to detail and the ability to juggle competing priorities are key to success

What you’ll do:

• Oversee compliance & fleet presentation requirements.

• Assist with continuous improvement of KPIs
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
• Efficiently use and allocate fleet.
• Engage in effective communication with customers.

• Administration, monitoring, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting
• Assist with continuous improvement of KPIs.
