Job summary

Hall's is seeking two Dispatchers to coordinate daily freight movements and support drivers to ensure safe, on-time deliveries within a busy New Zealand logistics network.

Position 1 is Night Shift (Sun-Thu, 19:00-05:30, 50 hours/week); Position 2 is Day Shift (Mon-Fri, 05:00-15:30, 50 hours/week). Prior dispatch experience and proficiency with transport systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, dispatch or fleet coordination.
• Strong organisation and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
• Confidence working with transport systems or dispatch software.

In this role you’ll be responsible for coordinating freight movements and supporting drivers to ensure deliveries are completed safely and on time.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Coordinating daily freight dispatch across the network
• Managing driver schedules and delivery runs
• Monitoring deliveries and resolving delays, disruptions or operational issues
• Communicating with drivers, customers and internal teams
• Preparing delivery manifests and job allocations
• Ensuring compliance with transport regulations, safety standards and company procedures
• Supporting fleet servicing schedules and vehicle availability
• Providing clear updates to customers regarding delivery timing and issues

The Dispatcher acts as a central communication point between drivers, operations teams and customers, ensuring deliveries meet our service commitments.

Positions

Two positions are available, these are the following:

Position 1 - Night Shift
Sunday – Thursday
19:00 - 05:30
50 hours per week

Position 2 - Day shift
Monday – Friday
05:00 – 15:30
50hours per week

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for 2 x individuals who can remain calm under pressure and coordinate multiple moving parts in a busy logistics environment.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience in transport, logistics, dispatch or fleet coordination
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
• Confidence working with transport systems or dispatch software
• The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• A proactive mindset and strong attention to detail
• Experience in transport route planning or fleet coordination would be an advantage but is not essential.
