Job summary

Team Global Express NZ is seeking a Dispatcher for our Hamilton branch to coordinate daily transport activities with drivers and customers, ensuring on-time, safe deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll oversee fleet compliance, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement, bringing 2+ years in transport/logistics and strong communication to a role that emphasises health and safety and efficient dispatch.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years' experience in the transport/logistics industry.
• Knowledge of operational costing.
• Proven ability in leading Health and Safety.
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods practice and procedure.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice and Transport law.

• Resolve internal & external customer issues and increase satisfaction levels.

Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating across NZ from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a dispatcher to join our Hamilton branch.

Hours : Monday - Friday 9.30am - 6.00pm

About the role - Mō te tūranga

As a Dispatcher, you'll work closely with drivers, customers and operational teams to coordinate daily transport activities, respond to changing priorities and ensure freight is delivered safely and efficiently. This is a fast-paced role where strong communication, attention to detail and the ability to juggle competing priorities are key to success.

What you'll do:

• Oversee compliance & fleet presentation requirements.

• A minimum of 2+ years' experience in the transport/logistics industry
• Knowledge of operational costing
• Proven ability in leading Health and Safety
• Forklift license including OSH - preferred but not required
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods practice and procedure.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice and Transport law
• Geographical Knowledge of the Central North Island.
