Job summary

Team Global Express NZ is seeking a Dispatcher to join the Hamilton branch. You will work closely with drivers, customers and operations to coordinate daily transport activities and respond to changing priorities to keep freight on track.

This fast-paced role requires strong communication, attention to detail and the ability to juggle competing priorities while maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance. Eligible to work in NZ immediately.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years' experience in transport/logistics.
• Knowledge of operational costing.
• Proven ability to lead Health and Safety.
• Forklift license (OSH) preferred.
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods practices.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and Transport law.
• Geographical knowledge of Central North Island.
• Interest in career development within a multinational business.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fleet, drivers, and dispatching operations.
• Coordinate daily transport activities with drivers and customers.

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a dispatcher to join our Hamilton branch.

Hours: Monday – Friday 9.30am – 6.00pm

About the role - Mō te tūranga

As a Dispatcher, you'll work closely with drivers, customers and operational teams to coordinate daily transport activities, respond to changing priorities and ensure freight is delivered safely and efficiently. This is a fast-paced role where strong communication, attention to detail and the ability to juggle competing priorities are key to success.

What you'll do:

• Oversee compliance & fleet presentation requirements.
• Resolve any internal & external customer issues and increase satisfaction levels.
• Assist with continuous improvement of KPIs
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
• Efficiently use and allocate fleet.
• Engage in effective communication with customers.
• Manage fleet, drivers, and dispatching.
• Administration, monitoring, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting
• Assist with continuous improvement of KPIs.

You'll be a natural organiser who can think on your feet and keep things running smoothly under pressure.

• A minimum of 2+ years' experience in the transport/logistics industry
• Knowledge of operational costing
• Proven ability in leading Health and Safety
• Forklift license including OSH – preferred but not required
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods practice and procedure.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice and Transport law
• Geographical Knowledge of the Central North Island.
