Job summary

Team Global Express NZ is seeking a Class 5 Driver to join our Palmerston North branch to support collections and deliveries for a key customer. The role runs Monday–Friday with approx. a 6.30am start and a minimum of 45 hours per week.

You will assist with the timely and safe handling of freight, scanning every item touched, and delivering on time while upholding safety processes. A NZ Class 5 license is mandatory, with preferred DG endorsement and forklift OSH cert.

Qualifications

• Clean Full NZ Class 5 license is required.
• Dangerous Goods Endorsement is preferred.
• Forklift license with OSH certification is preferred.
• Customer-focused attitude and strong communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a team and manage time effectively.
• Experience driving on New Zealand roads.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely by hand.
• Ensure freight is handled without damage.
• Scan all freight; if you touch it, scan it.
• Deliver and pickup on time and in full.
• Actively participate in all safety processes and procedures.
• Operate the vehicle in a safe and legal manner at all times.
• Keep the vehicle clean and tidy inside and out.

Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

We're on the hunt for a Class 5 Driver to join our Palmerston North branch to assist with collections and deliveries with one of our key customers.

Shift:

Monday – Friday, approx. 6.30am start, minimum 45 hours per week

About The Role - Mō Te Tūranga

This role will be responsible to assist with the timely safe handling of freight for the company to achieve their target delivery goals.

What You'll Do

• Load and unload freight safely by hand.


• Ensure freight is handled without damage.


• Scan all freight. If you touch it, scan it.


• Deliver and pickup on time and in full.


• Actively participate in all safety processes and procedures


• Always operate your vehicle in a safe and legal manner.


• Take pride in your vehicle by always keeping it clean and tidy - inside and out.
