Job summary

Mighty Ape is seeking a Dispatch Team Leader to oversee outbound warehouse operations and run the shift day to day, ensuring orders are picked, fulfilled, packed, scanned, and loaded accurately before cut-off.

Reporting to the Dispatch Manager, you will lead on the floor with a people-first mindset, allocate daily work, coach team members, monitor performance, and uphold Mighty Ape's safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising, leading, or coordinating teams in a high-volume warehouse/logistics environment.
• Strong shift management skills to reallocate resources to meet cut-off times.
• Excellent communication with a coaching approach to team performance.
• High attention to quality standards, packing accuracy, and order accuracy.
• Commitment to health and safety standards on the warehouse floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift execution by allocating team members across picking, fulfilling, packing, scanning, and loading based on daily priorities.
• Monitor performance against benchmarks, provide in-the-moment coaching, and conduct regular 1:1 conversations.
• Maintain SOP compliance and keep work areas tidy to catch mis-picks or mis-ships early.
• Coordinate carrier collections by overseeing scanning, loading, and on-time release of courier vehicles.
• Drive floor safety and continuous improvement by reinforcing Be Safe policies and identifying workflow efficiencies.

Job description

Mighty Ape is looking for a Dispatch Team Leader to lead our outbound warehouse operations and run the shift day to day so customer orders are picked, fulfilled, packed, scanned, and loaded accurately before cut-off. Reporting to the Dispatch Manager, you’ll provide strong supervisory leadership on the floor, keeping standards high and ensuring our warehouse machinery runs like clockwork.
This is a people-first supervisory role focused on active floor leadership rather than routine task execution. You will allocate daily work, monitor performance through the shift, coach team members, and maintain the standards set by warehouse management.
This is a full-time, permanent role for a natural floor leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience supervising, leading, or coordinating teams within a high-volume warehouse, dispatch, or logistics environment.
• Strong shift management skills with the ability to reallocate resourcing on the fly to meet strict cut-off times.
• Excellent communication skills with a supportive, constructive approach to coaching and team performance.
• High attention to detail regarding quality standards, packaging, and order accuracy.
• A strong commitment to health and safety standards on the warehouse floor.

Nice to have

• Experience in fast-paced retail or eCommerce fulfillment environments.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems, and automated dispatch processes.
• Experience with machine training

Job Responsibilities

• Lead shift execution by allocating team members across picking, fulfilling, packing, scanning, and loading based on daily priorities, monitoring progress against cut-offs, and reallocating resources dynamically as order volumes shift.
• Monitor individual and shift performance against warehouse benchmarks, delivering in-the-moment coaching, conducting regular 1:1 conversations, and fostering a positive, inclusive team culture aligned with the Mighty Ape Ways of Working.
• Maintain quality and accuracy by ensuring strict SOP compliance (including single-item scanning and specialized packaging for high-value/fragile goods), keeping work areas tidy, and catching mis-picks or mis-ships early.
• Coordinate carrier collections by overseeing the scanning, loading, and on-time release of courier vehicles in line with daily handover schedules.
• Drive floor safety and continuous improvement by reinforcing Be Safe policies, reporting hazards and incidents promptly, delivering training, and identifying workflow efficiencies to share with the Dispatch Manager.
