My Food Bag is seeking a Dispatch Team Lead to join our fast-paced Ops team in New Zealand. This full-time day shift role (40 hours per week, Thursday to Sunday) involves ensuring every box leaves our warehouse packed correctly and on time.
Reporting to the Dispatch Manager, you will lead the team, manage palletising and warehousing, champion safety, and drive continuous improvement through SOPs and KPI monitoring.

We’re looking for a Dispatch Team Lead to join our high-energy Ops crew and help us keep the magic moving! If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love the idea of being the final touch before our foodies unwrap their culinary adventure, this role is for you.
This is a full-time day shift position working 40hrs per week Thursday to Sunday.
You’ll be working in a chilled environment (don’t worry – we’ll kit you out in full uniform) to ensure every box leaves our warehouse perfectly packed and ready to delight.
Reporting to the Dispatch Manager, you’ll:
Lead the Process: Oversee the journey from the final box seal to dispatching pallets, ensuring every order is packed with care and accuracy.
Pallet Maestro: Manage palletising, integration, and warehousing of finished goods—think of it as plating up for a crowd!
People Chef: Maximise your team’s potential, drive engagement, and foster growth through regular team and individual check-ins.
Safety First: Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring everyone (staff and contractors) is trained, equipped, and working safely.
Troubleshooting Sous Chef: Be the go-to for escalations and weekend issues, stepping into the Dispatch Manager’s shoes when needed.
Process Perfectionist: Create and maintain SOPs, monitor KPIs (accuracy, efficiency, complaints), and always look for ways to improve.
Warehouse Wizard: Keep consumables stocked, labels accurate, and pallets perfectly presented.
Continuous Improvement: Always on the lookout for ways to reduce downtime, integrate new products, and delight our foodie customers.
5+ years’ experience in production or logistics (bonus points for food or FMCG).
Deep understanding of warehouse procedures and operational teamwork.
Forklift license and valid NZ driver’s license.
Strong people leadership and communication skills, able to inspire, motivate, and hold your team accountable.
Outstanding multitasking and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility and quick thinking, ready to adapt and serve up solutions on the fly.
Passion for health and safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Warehouse-based work.
Some irregular hours or on-call duties during peak seasons (think Christmas feasts!).
