Job summary

Mighty Ape is seeking a licensed Dispatch Machine Operator for a 10-week fixed-term contract in our busy New Zealand warehouse, wrapping up on 21 December 2026. You will operate automated dispatch equipment, perform pre-start checks, load consumables, clear jams, and ensure throughput meets daily courier cut-offs.

Responsibilities include safety compliance, maintenance, quality checks, and supporting the team to hit peak-season targets. Valid licences and Crown TSP experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Stock Picker: formally trained and experienced operating Stock Pickers (Order Pickers).
• Counterbalance forklift licence with recent hands-on experience.
• Working at Heights certificate and Harness Training certification.
• Experience operating Crown TSP (Turret Stock Pickers) is a major advantage.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: set up and run dispatch machinery to SOPs and manufacturer instructions.
• Maintenance & care: perform daily pre-start checks and keep areas hazard-free.
• Quality & accuracy: ensure 100% scanning accuracy and proper label placement.
• Health & safety: follow lock-out/tag-out and PPE protocols.
• Team collaboration: support dispatch and warehouse tasks as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up and run dispatch machinery to SOPs and manufacturer instructions. Monitor throughput, load consumables (labels, film, tape, strapping), and clear jams/stoppages safely.
• Maintenance & Care: Complete daily pre-start checks, perform routine clean-downs, keep work areas hazard-free, and report mechanical faults promptly to your Team Leader.
• Quality & Accuracy: Ensure 100% scanning accuracy, verify seal integrity and label placement, and re-process any items that do not meet output standards.
• Health & Safety: Strictly adhere to isolation, lock-out, and machine-guarding safety protocols. Wear required PPE and uphold our "Be Safe" core philosophy.
• Team Collaboration: Assist with general dispatch and warehouse tasks as operational demands change.
