Job summary

Tranzit is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic for our Tauranga Poike workshop. You will carry out servicing, minor repairs, and prepare vehicles for inspections in a fast-paced environment.

We offer 40-hour weeks, on-call roster, competitive pay with experience credit, tool allowance, and a supportive national workshop network. Training and development were recently recognised with MITO Summit Award.

Qualifications

• A Qualified Diesel Mechanic with proven experience (5 years +), preferably within the road transport industry.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
• A reliable team player with great communication.
• Full NZ driver’s licence (Class 2 or higher preferred).

• Carrying out routine servicing and minor repairs to keep our fleet road ready.
• Preparing vehicles for COF inspections.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults.

What will your day look like?
