Job summary

Tranzit Group Ltd in Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt seeks 2 qualified Diesel Mechanics to join our workshop team. The role focuses on servicing, minor repairs, and preparing vehicles for COF inspections while advancing skills in a dynamic, fleet-focused environment.

You’ll work with a passionate team, leverage strong diagnostic abilities, and hold a Full NZ driver’s licence. We offer competitive pay, a fortnightly tool allowance, and a supportive development culture across our nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic with 5+ years experience in road transport.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
• Reliable team player with good communication.
• Full NZ driver’s licence (Class 2+ preferred).

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and minor repairs to keep our fleet road ready.
• Prepare vehicles for COF inspections.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults.
• Ensure all work meets high safety and quality standards.

We are seeking 2 qualified Diesel Mechanics to join our Lower Hutt and Upper Hut t workshop team. Our Hutt Valley fleet is primarily diesel vehicles, with potential for opportunities to work on emerging EV technology as our fleet continues to evolve. This is a great opportunity to expand your skills while working alongside our experienced and passionate team.

What will your day look like?

• Carrying out routine servicing and minor repairs to keep our fleet road ready.
• Preparing vehicles for COF inspections.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults.
• Ensuring all work meets high safety and quality standards.

We are looking for:

• A Qualified Diesel Mechanic with proven experience (5 years +), preferably within the road transport industry.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
• A reliable team player with great communication.
• Full NZ driver's licence (Class 2 or higher preferred).
