Job summary

Tranzit Group in Tauranga is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our Poike workshop team. If you take pride in your trade and enjoy problem-solving, you’ll fit right into our fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

You will service and perform minor repairs on our fleet, prepare vehicles for COF inspections, and diagnose faults. A full NZ driver’s licence is preferred; 5+ years’ experience in road transport is ideal.

Qualifications

• A Qualified Diesel Mechanic with proven experience (5 years +), preferably within the road transport industry.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
• A reliable team player with great communication.

We are looking for a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our Tauranga workshop team based in Poike. If you take pride in your trade, enjoy problem-solving, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same—we'd love to hear from you!

What will your day look like?

Carrying out routine servicing and minor repairs to keep our fleet road ready.

Preparing vehicles for COF inspections.

Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults.

Ensuring all work meets high safety and quality standards.

We are looking for:

A Qualified Diesel Mechanic with proven experience (5 years +), preferably within the road transport industry.

Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.

A reliable team player with great communication.

Full NZ driver's licence (Class 2 or higher preferred).
