Job summary

Tranzit Group in Grenada Village, Wellington, is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to service a diverse fleet ranging from traditional diesel vehicles to EV technology. The role offers a full-time permanent position with a 45-hour week and an on-call roster, within New Zealand\'s nationwide workshop network.

You will join an experienced, supportive team that values training and development, as evidenced by recent MITO Summit recognition.

Qualifications

• A Qualified Diesel Mechanic with proven experience (5 years +), preferably within the road transport industry.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
• A reliable team player with great communication.
• Full NZ drivers licence (Class 2 or higher preferred).

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing and minor repairs to keep our fleet road ready.
• Preparing vehicles for COF inspections.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults.
• Ensuring all work meets high safety and quality standards.

What will your day look like?

We Are Looking For
