Job summary

Tranzit Group Ltd is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our Southern workshop team, based in Rangiora or Darfield. You will perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs to keep our fleet on the road, with a focus on safety and quality.

We offer competitive rates reflecting experience, a fixed 40-hour week with an on-call roster, and strong support for training and development within our nationwide workshop network.

We are looking for a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our Southern workshop team based in Rangiora or Darfield . If you take pride in your trade and enjoy problem-solving—we'd love to hear from you!

What will your day look like?

• Carrying out routine servicing and minor repairs to keep our fleet road ready.
• Preparing vehicles for COF inspections.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults.
• Ensuring all work meets high safety and quality standards.

We are looking for:

• A Qualified Diesel Mechanic with proven experience (5 years +), preferably within the road transport industry.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
• A reliable team player with great communication.
• Full NZ driver's licence (Class 2 or higher preferred).
