Gunn Talent is helping a New Zealand manufacturing business appoint a Procurement & Inventory Specialist. You’ll own a newly created role focusing on procurement, inventory, data and systems, with autonomy to shape processes and drive improvements.

You’ll clean and improve data quality across ERP, review procurement workflows, analyse stock levels and support forecasting. Collaboration with sales, operations and finance is key, plus occasional travel to Wellington or Christchurch.

Qualifications

  • Experience improving inventory, procurement or supply chain processes.
  • Strong analytical and data-management skills.
  • ERP experience; Microsoft Dynamics preferred.

About you:
  • Passion for data, systems and process improvement, with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Experience improving inventory, procurement or supply chain systems and processes, ideally in a New Zealand manufacturing/product environment with high SKU volumes.
  • Strong analytical and data-management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • ERP experience; Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable taking ownership, working independently and driving change.
  • Resilient and persistent when tackling messy data, legacy processes or resistance to change.
  • Confident communicator who can influence stakeholders, challenge constructively and build strong relationships.
  • Genuine commitment to continuous improvement and creating smarter, more efficient ways of working.
