Job summary

Avanti Finance Group in New Zealand invites university students to join as Summer Customer Solutions Specialists. You’ll help customers in arrears by discussing repayment options with empathy, resilience, and sound judgement to find practical solutions while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll work with the customer care and resolution team on a varied portfolio, receive training and coaching, and may access flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• University student preparing for the summer break.

• Ability to stay calm and professional in challenging conversations.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers to discuss overdue accounts and repayment options.
• Manage inbound and outbound conversations professionally and confidently.
• Assess customer circumstances and identify suitable solutions.
• Review loan information and make informed decisions while customers are on the phone.
• Navigate challenging conversations with empathy and professionalism.
• Identify risk factors, hardship indicators, and escalation requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Apply responsible lending obligations and company policies.

The Role

As a Summer Customer Solutions Specialist, you will joinAvanti’s customer care and resolution team. Where you will get the chance to manage a portfolio of customers experiencing arrears, and work with them to find a sustainable repayment outcome. In this role you will need to think onyour feet, as no two days are the same.
