Job summary

Avanti Finance Group in New Zealand invites university students to join as Summer Customer Solutions Specialists. You’ll help customers in arrears by discussing repayment options with empathy, resilience, and sound judgement to find practical solutions while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll work with the customer care and resolution team on a varied portfolio, receive training and coaching, and may access flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• University student preparing for the summer break.
• Interest in customer service and helping customers in difficulty.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in challenging conversations.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers to discuss overdue accounts and repayment options.
• Manage inbound and outbound conversations professionally and confidently.
• Assess customer circumstances and identify suitable solutions.
• Review loan information and make informed decisions while customers are on the phone.
• Navigate challenging conversations with empathy and professionalism.
• Identify risk factors, hardship indicators, and escalation requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Apply responsible lending obligations and company policies.
