Avanti Finance in Auckland is growing its Personal Lending team and seeks ambitious people to learn and build a career in lending. As a Personal Lender you’ll work with brokers, dealers, mortgage advisers and customers to find lending solutions.

You don’t need prior lending experience; the right attitude and customer focus matter. You will assess applications, manage a high-volume pipeline, and develop commercial decision-making skills in a supportive culture.

• Assessing and progressing personal lending applications
• Working closely with brokers, introducers and customers to find lending solutions
• Managing a high volume pipeline of applications
• Structuring deals and identifying ways to make applications work
• Building strong relationships with referral partners
• Conducting affordability and credit assessments
• Processing top ups and new lending opportunities
• Working closely with settlements to ensure successful loan payouts
• Collaborating with teams across the business, including property lending where required
• Managing applications through to approval and settlement

As a Personal Lender, you'll work with brokers, dealers, mortgage advisers and customers to help find lending solutions that genuinely make a difference. From debt consolidation and holidays through to vehicle repairs, dental work and other personal lending needs, you'll see a huge variety of applications and no two days will look the same.

This is one of the best entry points into lending within our business.

Many of our current lenders started in similar positions and have gone on to build successful careers across the wider organisation. You'll gain exposure to complex lending scenarios, develop commercial decision making skills and learn directly from experienced professionals.

You’ll also be joining a team known for its supportive culture. Some team members have been with Avanti for more than eight years, while others are earlier in their careers, creating a great mix of experience, knowledge sharing and development opportunities.
