Job summary

Hirepool in Tauranga is seeking a Customer/Service Person to join our team. You will help ensure equipment is fit for hire and advise customers in-branch or over the phone, with on-the-job training available.

Prior industry experience is not required, and a positive, team-focused attitude is valued. You’ll be assisting customers with bookings, contracting, and choosing the right tools and machinery for projects while upholding safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• Full Class 1 Driver's Licence is required; other classes/endorsements are an advantage.
• Experience in a customer-facing role is highly desirable.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills are expected.
• Rostered shifts including weekends are required.
• Ability to work well in a team and reliably deliver quality service.

• Offer advice on which tools and machinery are suitable for different jobs.
• Service a wide variety of hire plant.

We have a Permanent Full Time opportunity for a Customer/Service Person to join our team in Tauranga. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with tools and machinery, will provide great service to our customers, and have a keen interest in developing their existing skills and experience into a career.

As a Customer/Service Person your role will be to help ensure our equipment is fit for hire (a really important part of what we do!) and provide advice and support to customers over the phone and in-branch on what equipment is right for their project. As a market leader in the hire industry, we'll support your training and development on the job so prior industry experience is not a requirement. All we ask is that you have a positive, can-do attitude and be a team player who's happy to pitch in wherever required.

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role would be highly desirable

• Able to work on a rostered basis including weekends as required (our branch is open 7 days)
• Ability to work well in a team
• Reliable and committed to delivering quality work and customer service
